Piccadily's Indri named India's top single malt, surpasses 2m bottles

Piccadily Agro Industries Limited announced a record year for its Indri single malt whisky, with sales reaching 2.04 million bottles (170,000 9L cases) in calendar year 2024. This achievement establishes Indri as the largest-selling single malt in India and the fastest-selling Indian single malt globally for the second consecutive year. The International Wine & Spirits Record (IWSR) has certified Indri as the "Number 1 Malt Whisky in India."

The sales breakdown includes 124,000 cases in India (domestic sales) and 46,000 cases in overseas markets (export sales). Praveen Malviya, chief executive (IMFL) of Piccadily Agro Industries Limited, highlighted that this volume validates the brand's quality and positions it to compete with global giants. Indri aims to be among the top 5 selling single malt brands worldwide in the coming years.

Indri's success is attributed to its unique flavor profile, premium expressions like Indri-Trini and Indri Founder's Reserve 11YO, and consistent wins at global spirits competitions. The company emphasizes its commitment to quality, Indian ingredients, and heritage.
