Jaiprakash Power Ventures explores 50 MW solar plant at Bina site

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited announced on August 27, 2025, that its board of directors has approved exploring the development of a 50 MW Solar PV Power Plant. This new facility would be situated at the company's existing 500 MW Jaypee Bina Thermal Power Plant site in Bina, Madhya Pradesh.

The proposed solar project comes with an estimated investment of Rs.300.00 crores and is subject to necessary approvals, including from lenders. This move indicates the company's potential shift towards diversifying its energy generation capacity.
