Cochin Shipyard appoints new directors for operations and technical roles

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has announced the appointment of Dr. Harikrishnan S as director (operations) and Rajesh Gopalakrishnan as director (technical), effective August 27, 2025. These appointments follow communications from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, stemming from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Dr. Harikrishnan S will serve until his superannuation on May 31, 2029, or until further orders. He brings nearly three decades of experience in shipbuilding and repair to his new role. Rajesh Gopalakrishnan is appointed for a five-year tenure from August 27, 2025, or until his superannuation, whichever is earliest. He also has close to three decades of experience in the company.

Both new directors are currently directors in Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited and Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited, CSL's wholly owned subsidiaries. With these appointments, Madhu Sankunny Nair, the chairman and managing director, has relinquished his additional charge of director (operations) and director (technical).
