Coal India promotes two to senior management, names new executive directors

Coal India Limited, via a disclosure dated August 27, 2025, announced the promotion of two officials to senior management personnel (executive directors), a level directly below the board. These changes are in accordance with regulation 30 of SEBI (listing obligations and disclosure requirements), regulations 2015, and SEBI circular no. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024.

Goutam Banerjee, aged approximately 59, has been promoted to executive director (human resource). He holds a post graduate diploma in personnel management and joined Coal India on June 29, 1994, bringing over 31 years of experience in human resource and industrial relations.

Additionally, Sanjay Srivastava, 56, has been appointed executive director (finance). An associate member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Srivastava joined Coal India in January 1991 and has served in various capacities across the company, from mines to corporate offices.
