Powergrid approves ₹209.38 crore North-Eastern region expansion

POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited announced on August 26, 2025, that its Committee of Directors on Investment on Projects has approved the implementation of the "North-Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIII (NERES-XXIII)." This project is estimated to cost ₹209.38 crore.

The scheme is scheduled to be commissioned within 30 months from the date of allocation, targeting completion by February 03, 2028. This investment aligns with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The approval signifies a continued focus on strengthening India's power transmission network, particularly in strategic regions.
