Force Motors: Sustainability Report Details Net-Zero, Water Neutrality Goals

Force Motors, a leading Indian automotive manufacturer, has issued its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report for the financial year 2024-25, outlining ambitious sustainability goals. The company aims for net-zero GHG emissions in operations by 2050, with a 50% reduction in scope 1 & 2 emission intensity by 2030 (based on FY 2023-24), and 50% renewable electrical energy in operations by 2027. Progress includes a 22% reduction in emission intensity and a 43% reduction in emissions per equivalent vehicle compared to the previous year.

The report also details commitments to water neutrality by 2035 and zero waste to landfill by 2030. Total water consumption decreased by 7.2% to 4,43,371 kiloliters in 2024-25. Waste management practices include recycling 17,159 metric tonnes of waste, a significant portion of the total 17,760 metric tonnes generated.

Further, the company is focusing on enhancing diversity and inclusion, targeting a 10% share of women in the workforce by 2027, an increase of 4% from the previous year. Investments in R&D and capital expenditure also prioritize environmental and social impacts, with 5% of R&D and 53.08% of capex dedicated to such initiatives in FY 2024-25.
