Shipping Corporation of India posts highest profit in 15 years

Shipping Corporation of India reported standalone net profit of Rs. 814.10 crores for FY 2024-25, its highest in 15 years, up from Rs. 612.15 crores the previous year. Consolidated profit rose to Rs. 844 crores from Rs. 678.97 crores.

Revenue increased to Rs. 5,592.33 crores from Rs. 5,046.04 crores. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 6.59 per share, the highest in 20 years.

The company acquired two secondhand Very Large Gas Carriers as part of its fleet expansion strategy.
