Hindustan Zinc first Indian company to join global mining council

Hindustan Zinc Limited has been inducted into the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), marking the council's first new member since 2021.

The world's largest integrated zinc producer was recognized as the world's most sustainable company in the metals and mining sector for two consecutive years by S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2024.

Hindustan Zinc has reduced greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 15% in FY25 compared to its 2020 baseline and is the first Indian metals and mining company to secure SBTi validated targets aligned to the 1.5°C global warming threshold.
