Balaji Telefilms swings to loss as OTT discontinued

Balaji Telefilms swung to a standalone loss before tax of INR 712.57 lacs in Q1 2025, compared to a profit of INR 508.14 lacs in the same period last year. Total income was INR 7,691.57 lacs.

The company discontinued its OTT streaming application on July 25, 2025, following a directive from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Management said the closure would not significantly impact financial results.
