Sona Comstar revenue falls 5% amid China magnet shortage

Sona BLW Precision Forgings reported 5% revenue decline to INR 851 crores for Q1 FY26, with EBITDA down 19% to INR 203 crores and net profit lower by 12%.

BEV revenue share fell to 28% from 33%, hit by supply term changes, declining sales from a major EV customer, and heavy rare earth magnet shortages from China.

The company secured its largest order win in 2.5 years, adding over INR 1,500 crores to its orderbook, now at record INR 262 billion. It completed its railway business acquisition and entered a China joint venture for driveline systems manufacturing.
