JSW Energy acquires majority stake in water infrastructure firm

JSW Energy announced it has acquired a majority shareholding in KSK Water Infrastructures Private Limited following a corporate insolvency resolution process.

The company paid INR 962 crores to KWIPL's lenders and now holds a 51% equity stake. KWIPL provides water infrastructure services to a 3,600 MW thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh.

The acquisition gives JSW Energy operational control over critical water supply for its thermal power operations.
