Zuari Industries wins interim relief on alcohol export fees

Zuari Industries Limited received interim relief from the Allahabad High Court regarding export fees on denatured alcohol. The July 30 order, from a petition filed by U.P. Sugar Mills Association, permits movement of industrial alcohol from distilleries subject to proper record maintenance and indemnity bonds.

If the petition fails and companies are held liable, the fees will still need to be paid. The relief remains pending final court adjudication.
