National Fertilizers forms joint venture for new ammonia-urea plant

National Fertilizers Limited has incorporated "Assam Valley Fertilizer And Chemical Company Limited" following a joint venture agreement with the Government of Assam, Oil India Limited, Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited, and Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited.

The company has authorized capital of INR 10 crores and paid-up capital of INR 10 lakh. National Fertilizers holds an 18% stake through INR 180,000 investment.

The joint venture will establish a new ammonia-urea complex fertilizer plant in Namrup, Assam, with completion expected within 48 months.
