Persistent Systems Reappoints Dr. Anand Deshpande as Managing Director

Persistent Systems Limited has confirmed the reappointment of Dr. Anand Deshpande as the Managing Director for a fresh term of five consecutive years. This decision was approved by the Members at the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on July 21, 2025. His extended tenure will commence from the conclusion of the 35th AGM and last until the conclusion of the 40th AGM, scheduled for 2030.

The reappointment follows previous intimations on June 6, 2025, and July 22, 2025. Dr. Deshpande, the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director since the company's inception, is responsible for its overall leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Kharagpur, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University. He has received numerous accolades, including the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in 2023 and the ACM Presidential Award in 2024. He has no inter-se relationships with other directors.
