Walchandnagar Industries reports widening losses despite defence growth

Walchandnagar Industries Limited reported a net loss of ₹86 crores for fiscal 2024-25, more than double the previous year's ₹42 crores loss. Revenue from operations fell to ₹259 crores from ₹302 crores.

However, the company's strategic shift to defence, nuclear, and aerospace sectors showed promise, with these segments achieving 12% revenue growth and 64% profitability growth.

The company will seek approval for Giriraj Sharan Agrawal as whole time director at its annual meeting in August.
