Container Corporation wins ₹96.59 crore tax dispute

Container Corporation of India won a significant tax dispute worth ₹96.59 crore when the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal dismissed the tax department's application on July 15, 2025.

The case involved disallowance of a deduction claimed under Section 80IA for the 2008-09 assessment year. The tax department had previously lost a similar appeal in January 2020.
