Ashok Leyland profit surges 26% to ₹3,303 crores

Ashok Leyland reported profit after tax of ₹3,303 crores for fiscal 2024-25, up 26% year-over-year, while revenues rose 1% to ₹38,753 crores. Earnings per share reached ₹11.25.

The company shifted from net debt of ₹89 crores to a net cash position of ₹4,242 crores. Commercial vehicle sales hit near-record 1,95,097 units, with domestic bus sales reaching an all-time high of 21,253 units. Exports jumped 29% to 15,255 units.

The board declared an interim dividend of ₹6.25 per share.
