Orient Paper amends articles to enable power generation

Orient Paper & Industries Limited's board approved an amendment to its Articles of Association to enable electricity generation, pending shareholder approval.

The amendment adds authorization for the board to set up, acquire, manage and generate electricity from hydel, thermal, nuclear, solar and wind sources. This ensures continued compliance for its 55 MW power plant in Amlai, Madhya Pradesh, following 2023 state electricity regulatory changes.
