JB Pharma cuts carbon intensity 13% in sustainability push

J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals reported carbon intensity decreased 12.95% to 14.61 tCO2e/INR turnover in its FY2024-25 sustainability report. The company sourced 37.22% of its 465,319.61 GJ total energy consumption from renewables.

The pharmaceutical company processed 3,518.16 metric tonnes of waste, recovering 2,719.58 metric tonnes through recycling operations. All manufacturing sites implemented Zero Liquid Discharge systems, and the company achieved zero workplace fatalities for the year.
