HFCL expands IBR cable capacity with ₹125.55cr investment

HFCL Limited's board approved expanding Intermittent Bonded Ribbon cable manufacturing capacity from 1.73 mfkm/p.a. to 19.01 mfkm/p.a., requiring ₹125.55 crores investment. The expansion targets growing global demand, particularly in North America and Europe, and should be operational by June 2026.

The company's consolidated optical fiber cable manufacturing capacity will reach 42.36 mfkm/p.a. upon completion. However, a previously proposed 10 mfkm/p.a. expansion through subsidiary HTPL was put on hold due to security concerns in Jammu & Kashmir.
