Gas firm secures 15-year supply deal

Gail (India) Limited and Oil India Limited have formalized an extension to their existing Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement. The new 15-year agreement, effective July 1, 2025, guarantees a daily supply of up to 900,000 Standard Cubic Meters of natural gas from Oil India's Bakhri Tibba Block in Rajasthan. This block encompasses the Dandewala, Tanot, and Bagi Tibba fields. Gail will supply gas to State run power plant of M/s Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. The collaboration emphasizes energy security, aligning with national interests. Gail (India) transports over 127 MMSCMD of natural gas and has a LNG portfolio of 16.56 MMTPA.
