Tata Steel production impacted by maintenance in first quarter

Tata Steel reported its provisional production and delivery volumes for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, with crude steel production in India reaching 5.26 million tons, slightly down from the previous quarter's 5.44 million tons, due to planned maintenance at key facilities. Domestic deliveries stood at 4.75 million tons. Tata Steel Netherlands produced 1.7 million tons of liquid steel. The company highlighted strong performance in its automotive and special products segments, driven by high-end product growth. E-commerce platforms, Tata Steel Aashiyana and DigECA, generated gross merchandise value of INR1,350 crores, up 39% year-over-year. The European operations in the Netherlands and the UK experienced stable production and deliveries. The maintenance reline of G Blast Furnace is expected to be completed in July 2025.
