REC Limited establishes two new power transmission subsidiaries

REC Limited has announced the incorporation of Umred Power Transmission Limited and Sakoli Power Transmission Limited as wholly-owned subsidiaries of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). Both entities were officially incorporated on July 7, 2025. Each subsidiary has an authorized and paid-up capital of INR 500,000. The establishment of these companies aligns with Government of Maharashtra initiatives, with RECPDCL acting as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for intra-state transmission projects in Umred (Nagpur) and Sakoli (Bhandara), respectively. Following the selection of successful bidders through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), the ownership of these subsidiaries, along with all associated assets and liabilities, will be transferred to the winning parties.
