IFB Agro Industries diversifies with Cargill feed acquisition, Vietnam project

** IFB Agro Industries is embarking on a major diversification and expansion strategy, highlighted by the proposed acquisition of Cargill India Private Limited's commercial compound shrimp feed and freshwater fish feed business for INR 353 crore. This acquisition, approved at a board meeting on May 30, 2025, encompasses Cargill's feed formulations, assets, contracts, distribution network, and manufacturing facilities in Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. IFB Agro expects the acquisition to bolster its fish and shrimp feed business by utilizing Cargill's spare production capacity. A prior feed manufacturing project in Balasore has been put on hold due to cost increases.
