Graphite India highlights sustainability gains in new report

Graphite India has released its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report for the financial year 2024-25, showcasing notable improvements in its environmental performance. The report details a 29.1% reduction in energy consumption, a 23.2% decrease in GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2), and a 34.4% cut in water consumption compared to the previous year. The company reports that all plants now have Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems installed. The report also highlights an increase in female workforce representation of 21% over the previous year. Graphite India also states its engagement with decarbonization of the steel and casting industries with its graphite electrodes. The company also reports 33.44% of its sales in FY 2024-25 were attributable to exports.
