Tata Power Renewables achieves record rooftop solar installations

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, announced a record-breaking performance in the rooftop solar sector for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. TPREL installed 45,589 rooftop solar systems, representing a 416% increase compared to the 8,838 installations in Q1 FY25. The achievement propels the company's cumulative rooftop solar installations to over 204,443, surpassing 3.4 GW of installed capacity nationwide. The company says the milestone underscores its commitment to India's clean energy transition and supports the government's Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, promoting solar adoption through its 'Ghar Ghar Solar' initiative. TPREL says it now boasts a network of 604 channel partners across 400 cities, coupled with 240 authorized service partners across 560 cities, serving over 200,000 satisfied clients.
