Vistra ITCL releases 25m shares in GMR Power

Vistra ITCL (India) Limited, acting as Debenture Trustee and Security Trustee, disclosed the release of 25 million equity shares in GMR Power & Urban Infra Limited (GMR Power) as per SEBI regulations. The release reduces Vistra ITCL's shareholding to 11.19% of GMR Power’s total share/voting capital. Before this transaction, Vistra ITCL held 105,000,000 shares, representing 14.69% of the total capital. The equity share capital of GMR Power remains at 71,48,36,194 shares, each with a face value of INR5. Vistra clarified that the onus of complying with the acquisition regulation lies with the lender/debenture holder, but this disclosure is being filed out of caution.
