Tata Power Renewable exceeds expectations with 752 MW solar capacity

** Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has announced a significant milestone in its renewable energy expansion. The company commissioned 752 MW of solar projects in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, marking a 112% increase compared to the 354 MW commissioned in the same period last year. This record quarterly addition brings TPREL's total utility-scale operational capacity to 5.6 GW, comprising 4.6 GW of solar and 1 GW of wind energy. TPREL is planning to commission 1.7 GW of its utility owned capacity during FY26 apart from 1 GW of third-party projects. Tata Power is targeting a total operational capacity of 7.3 GW by the end of FY26, with 5.6 GW and 1.7 GW from solar and wind, respectively.
