IndusInd Bank opens all-women branch in Chennai

IndusInd Bank announced the opening of an all-women branch in Chennai, located at Saveetha Dental College, marking the bank's twelfth such establishment nationwide. Managed by a team of five dedicated women bankers, the branch offers a full suite of retail banking services, including savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, and credit facilities like personal and auto loans. The inauguration was attended by Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, Founder & Chancellor of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, and other key guests. As of March 31, 2025, the bank had over 800 branches in Southern India. The bank aims to create an inclusive banking ecosystem, providing women customers with a more comfortable and convenient space while encouraging greater participation in the financial sector.
