Airline appoints Amitabh Kant as non-executive director

InterGlobe Aviation Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Amitabh Kant as a Non-Executive Director, effective upon receiving security clearance from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and subject to shareholder approval. The appointment, disclosed under SEBI regulations, took place at a board meeting on July 3, 2025. Mr. Kant, known for driving initiatives such as Make in India and serving as India's Sherpa to the G20, brings extensive administrative and strategic experience to the airline. The board believes Mr. Kant's global experience will significantly benefit IndiGo, especially as it expands internationally. The company disclosed that Mr. Kant is not debarred from holding the office of Director.
