3M India settles tax dispute under Vivad se Vishwas scheme

3M India announced it is moving forward with settling tax disputes under the Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme, 2024, following the receipt of a Certificate in Form 2 for the financial year 2013-14. This development follows the company's earlier intimation on April 26, 2025. The settlement for FY 2013-14 will result in an additional tax liability of INR17.20 Crs, which has already been recognized as a one-time expense in the company's FY 2024-25 profit and loss statement. The company’s applications for settlement of some of the disputes for other Financial Years are still under review. The Certificate in Form 2 was received on June 24, 2025, and after clarifications with tax authorities which concluded on July 2, 2025, 3M India is promptly notifying the stock exchanges.
