REC Limited announces board changes and new subsidiary

REC Limited (BSE:RECLTD) has announced significant changes to its board and the incorporation of a new subsidiary. Shri Vijay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), superannuated on June 30, 2025, and Shri Jitendra Srivastava (IAS) has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Director (Projects) for three months, effective July 1, 2025. Further, REC has incorporated SR WR Power Transmission Limited as a wholly-owned subsidiary under REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). The new entity, with an authorized and paid-up capital of INR 500,000 each, will focus on inter-regional strengthening between the SR Grid and WR Grid, following a Ministry of Power initiative where RECPDCL acts as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC). REC also announced that Shri R.P. Vaishnaw retired as Executive Director and Shri Rahul Dwivedi ceased to be the Executive Director of the Company. Simultaneously, Shri V. Lakshmana Charyulu has been promoted to Executive Director of the Company.
