Torrent Power wins 300 MW wind project from SECI

Torrent Power Limited [BSE:TORNTPOWER] announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Torrent Green Energy Private Limited, has been awarded two Letters of Award from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI). These awards are for setting up 300 MW of ISTS-connected wind power projects under SECI's Tranche-XVIII. The tariff has been set at INR 3.97 per kWh. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with a contract period of 25 years post-commissioning. The estimated project cost is INR 2,650 Crore. The scope encompasses 175 MW + 125 MW of wind power capacity, awarded under a tariff-based competitive bidding route. The awards were received on June 11, 2025.
