Tata Communications appoints P. Jagdish Rao as independent director

Tata Communications (BSE:TATACOMM) announced the appointment of Mr. P. Jagdish Rao as an Additional and Independent Director, effective June 13, 2025. The appointment, approved by the Board of Directors following the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is for a five-year term concluding on June 12, 2030, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Rao brings over 35 years of experience from Citibank and Citigroup, where he led large-scale business transformations and optimized global banking operations, including significant cost-saving initiatives, such as cutting IT costs by over USD 2 billion at Citi. Tata Communications clarified that there are no inter-se relationships between Mr. Rao and any other Director of the Company. The company has posted the related documents on their website.
