JSW Infrastructure signs MoU with Konkan Railway Corporation

JSW Infrastructure [BSE: 543994] announced today that its subsidiary, JSW Jaigarh Port, has signed a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL). This agreement focuses on the construction and development of a railway siding project at Ratnagiri District, initially disclosed on September 9, 2024. JSW will provide a refundable and non-lapsable security deposit for the development. Upon completion, the project will establish crucial railway access to Jaigarh Port, facilitating the movement of diverse cargo including containers, bulk, and liquids. The enhanced connectivity is expected to significantly bolster the port's ability to handle third-party cargo, setting the stage for future capacity expansion at the port.
