Godfrey Phillips India appoints new general counsel; Nair resigns

Godfrey Phillips India [BSE: 500163, NSE: GODFRYPHLP] announced key changes in its senior management personnel. Effective July 1, 2025, Ms. Jaishree Tolani has been appointed as the General Counsel, taking over from Mr. Rajesh Nair, who has resigned from his position as Vice President-Legal. The Board of Directors approved the appointment on June 27, 2025, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Mr. Nair's resignation is effective August 31, 2025, with a three-month notice period provided to ensure a smooth transition. Tolani was associated with law firm AZB & Partners for 14 years and brings extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, banking and finance, and corporate advisory. Nair resigned to allow a smooth transition.
