Urja Global gains national registration for renewable energy push

Urja Global Limited (BSE: URJA), a renewable energy company, announced it has achieved national registration with the MNRE and all State and Union Territory DISCOMs across India. This registration will facilitate the company's participation in the Government of India's "Har Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana" initiative, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The scheme aims to provide free electricity through rooftop solar installations. Urja Global also announced the launch of its 'Urja Kendra' network across 268,000 Gram Panchayats. These outlets are intended to create a first-of-its-kind integrated renewable energy retail ecosystem, fostering rural employment and providing critical green energy solutions. The Urja Kendras will market and distribute solar systems, batteries, and electric scooters, as well as offer complete installation services for on-grid and off-grid rooftop solar systems and set up Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations.
