TCS, IBM, Andhra Pradesh to launch quantum computing hub

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS: BSE 532540) and IBM are collaborating with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop a Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati. Anchored by IBM's Quantum System Two, featuring a 156-qubit Heron processor, it will be the largest quantum computer in India. TCS will assist in developing algorithms and applications for Indian industry and academia, with the goal to solve complex challenges using quantum computing. The collaboration aims to accelerate India's quantum ecosystem, generate high-end jobs, and attract investments. TCS is contributing to research and development across sectors like life sciences, supply chain management, and sustainable manufacturing. The project is to unlock quantum computing capabilities that exceed classical computing. TCS will use domain experts and researchers to leverage IBM's quantum computers.
