EPL acquires majority stake in EPL Packaging (Thailand)

EPL Limited (BSE: EPL) has announced the acquisition of a 99% stake in EPL Packaging (Thailand) Co. Ltd. (EPTL) for THB19,80,000. The acquisition, finalized on April 30, 2025, marks a significant step in EPL's expansion strategy in Thailand. EPTL, incorporated on February 4, 2025, will operate in the manufacturing and trading of laminated tubes, positioning itself to capitalize on growth opportunities in the region. While not strictly a related party transaction initially, EPTL will be considered a related party after the completion of the payment. Furthermore, Lamitube Technologies Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of EPL, is in the process of acquiring the remaining 1% stake (200 shares) in EPTL for THB20,000. The board of directors will meet on May 8, 2025 to, among other items, approve the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025 and consider a final dividend.
