Vodafone Idea expands 5G services to Chandigarh and Patna

Vodafone Idea has announced the launch of its 5G services in Chandigarh and Patna, effective April 28, 2025. Vi customers with 5G-enabled devices will gain access to the high-speed network in these cities. This expansion follows the company's successful 5G launch in Mumbai in March, where more than 70% of eligible users are leveraging Vi 5G, contributing up to 20% of the network's total data traffic. Vi's initial 5G rollout phase will expand to Delhi and Bangalore in May.
