Global health expands to Northeast India with new hospital

Global Health Limited, operating under the "Medanta" brand, has announced a strategic expansion into Northeast India. The company's Board of Directors approved the purchase of a three-acre land parcel in Guwahati from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd. (AEGCL) for a consideration of INR 30 Crores, plus incidental expenses. This land will house a new 400+ bedded super specialty hospital, with an estimated total project cost of INR 510 Crores. The expansion will strengthen healthcare infrastructure and will serve over 50 million people across Assam and its neighbouring states.
