BPCL announces new LPG plant in Bihar

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL: 500547) announced the foundation stone laying ceremony for a state-of-the-art LPG Bottling Plant with a Rail Unloading Facility at Hathua, Gopalganj, Bihar. The project, with a budget of INR 340.15 Crore, is slated for completion by March 31, 2027, and will boast a capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum (TMTPA). The facility aims to meet the increasing LPG demand in North-West and North Central Bihar, generate employment, and reduce carbon emissions. The expected annual reduction is approximately 11,000 MT Co2e GHG emissions equivalent to planting of 5 lakh trees.
