Minor fire incident at BHEL Bhopal plant contained

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced a minor fire incident at its Bhopal unit's plantation area near Material Gate No. 9, occurring around 11:30 am on April 24, 2025. The company promptly contained the fire with the help of the CISF fire team, municipal fire tenders, and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). BHEL confirmed that the fire was limited to a garbage heap within the plantation area, and there were no damages to any machinery, plant, or property, and no injuries or casualties occurred. Monitoring and safety measures will remain in place overnight. BHEL reaffirmed its commitment to safety standards and thanked all involved agencies for their quick response.
