Suzlon wins 378 MW wind project order from NTPC

Suzlon Energy (BSE: SUZLON) has been awarded a 378 MW wind energy project by NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC. This new order is part of NTPC's larger 1,544 MW wind project initiative and expands Suzlon's partnership with NGEL to 1,544 MW. Suzlon will supply 120 units of its S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a 3.15 MW rated capacity each, featuring hybrid lattice towers. The project will be located in the Gadag region of Karnataka. Suzlon will oversee the project's foundation, erection, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership in advancing India's clean energy goals. The company also reported that globally they manage ~15 GW of assets, and an additional ~6 GW installed outside of India.
