Bharat Dynamics appoints Chetan Kankariya as independent director

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL: BSE) announced the appointment of Shri Chetan Bansilal Kankariya as a Non-Official Independent Director on its board, effective April 22, 2025. This appointment, approved by the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, was communicated to BDL on April 23, 2025. Mr. Kankariya, aged 49, holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pune and brings over 26 years of experience in land development and building construction to the role. Previously, Mr. Kankariya served as an Independent Director at POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited. The company confirms that Mr. Kankariya is not debarred from holding the office by virtue of any SEBI order or authority.
