REC Limited appoints Jitendra Srivastava as CMD

REC Limited (BSE:RECLTD) has announced the appointment of Shri Jitendra Srivastava, IAS (BH: 2000), as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective April 22, 2025. Srivastava, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, assumes the role in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. His appointment follows an order from the Ministry of Power (MoP) dated April 21, 2025. Concurrently, Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD of Power Finance Corporation Limited, has ceased to be CMD of REC, where she held an additional charge.
