SAIL appoints and re-appoints independent directors to its board

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced the re-appointment of Dr. Gopal Singh Bhati and the appointment of Dr. Anju Bajpai and Shri Manjeet Kumar Razdan as Independent Directors to its Board, effective April 21, 2025. The appointments, following a Government of India nomination dated April 15, 2025, are for a one-year term or until further orders, contingent upon membership in the Institute of Corporate Affairs. SAIL affirmed that the directors are not barred from holding office by any SEBI order or authority. Dr. Bhati previously served as Chairman of the Board Sub Committee on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). Dr. Bajpai has a background in law and experience in education and judicial sectors. Shri Razdan is a practicing advocate.
