Hindustan Unilever completes acquisition of Uprising Science Private Limited

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) announced the completion of its acquisition of 90.5% of the shareholding in Uprising Science Private Limited, following approval from the Competition Commission of India. The acquisition, structured through a combination of primary infusion and secondary acquisition, involved a total cash consideration of INR 2,706,44,95,728. With this acquisition, Uprising Science and its subsidiaries now become subsidiaries of HUL. This move aligns with HUL’s strategic growth initiatives and expands its portfolio. The acquisition was executed as per the terms outlined in the Share Purchase and Subscription Agreement (SPSA) dated January 22, 2025.
