GIC Re appoints Manoj Ayyappan as director

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) [BSE:GICRE] announced the appointment of Shri Manoj Muttathil Ayyappan as a Director, nominated by the Ministry of Finance, effective April 17, 2025. Shri Ayyappan, currently serving as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), fills the vacancy left by Dr. M. P. Tangirala. GIC Re confirmed that Shri Ayyappan is unrelated to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding the position by any SEBI order. Ayyappan previously held leadership roles at Karur Vysya Bank and Utkarsh Small Finance Bank and has over 25 years of experience in SME lending, Financial Analysis, Trade Finance, Risk Management, and Stressed Account Management.
