L&T secures large power transmission orders, expands green energy footprint

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced a series of developments indicating both growth in its core infrastructure business and strategic expansion into the green energy sector. The company's Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) vertical has secured "large" orders in India and abroad, including a 765kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in western India, transmission line construction, and two 380kV overhead lines in Saudi Arabia spanning over 130 kilometers. Additional orders were secured for 132/11kV GIS in the UAE and a 132kV GIS in Qatar, as well as ongoing projects in India and Oman.
